RF - The Swedish Sports Confederation, is the umbrella organisation of the Swedish sports movement, which is 70 national federations and 21 district federations. The task of the Swedish Sports Confederation is to speak on behalf of the united sports movement in contacts with politicians, the government and other institutions/organisations, to coordinate and provide service in fields like research and development. In certain areas act in place of the government, e g through distributing governmental grants to sports.
The Swedish Sports Confederation has 22 000 sportclubs and more than one third of the population is a member of a sports club - that is app. 3,5 million Swedes.

The Swedish sports movement is based on a great voluntary leadership and there are about 600 000 voluntary leaders in different positions.
The Swedish Sports Confederation is chaired by Mrs Karin Mattson-Weijber.
SISU – Swedish Sports Education. Its main aim is to cater for the needs of clubs and specialised sports federations in training leaders, coaches, trainers, instructors, officials and referees. SISU arranges both courses and conferences in the areas of performance development, health matters and club development. SISU is also an internal consultant for member associations and clubs in such fields as organizational development and process management.
